Designed for Heavy Duty Vehicles, the META 3 system manages all the functions required by a bus or truck up to 6 cylinders normally aspirated or turbocharged engines from 3 up to 20 litres displacement. The supply voltage is 12 or 24 Vdc for integration on HD or LD vehicles. The control module has a redundant GAS optimized metering system: fuel flow rate is computed with two different methods (Air flow meter and Speed Density) in order to avoid any vehicle stop in case of sensor failure. A complete and full EOBD diagnosis system monitors all the engine components including Air/Fuel sensors , Catalyst efficiency and misfire detection.
Two different versions of this system are available:
- METAFUEL 3 STD: a traditional vehicle driver demanding power operation on which the Air Flow Metering is operated directly from an accelerator pedal position plus secondary load requirement (e.g. Air Conditioner, air compressor requests or cooling fans);
- METAFUEL 3 TM: fully integrated in a Vehicle Torque Manager body computer system on which the engine power is actuated starting from a vehicle centralized computer managing the wheels and any other auxiliary demands.
METAFUEL 3 system is now fitted on thousands of Heavy Duty vehicles running in any environmental and GAS quality conditions.
METAFUEL 3 is the perfect system for an OEM Light Duty or Heavy Duty CNG dedicated vehicle.
