This is a system based on twin ECUs on which the petrol one is (or could be) the original OEM fitted control module. The CNG control module has a perfectly independent GAS optimized metering system (can use already fitted or dedicated sensors) coupled to a complete and full EOBD diagnosis system. The diagnosis system can also monitor gasoline-CNG shared components like Air/Fuel sensor and Catalyst efficiency as well as CNG running misfire detection. CNG dedicated spark advance, additional air calibrations and a very smooth fuel mode switch-over are available. The activation is effected by the gasoline ECU by means of an extremely safe and fast CAN connection.
The reliability is ensured by millions of test kilometres on several different passengers cars and light duty vehicles applications. The twin ECU approach allows to save all the costs for tuning the gasoline ECU (a complete carry over of the originally fitted gasoline tuning is possible). The Engine compartment installation compliance allows the car manufacturer to save on wiring harness costs and ensures great reliability to the CNG injection system.
